A high-end dining spot linked to Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes is facing backlash after a scathing review of a $650 meal at 1587 Prime Steakhouse. What was meant to be a luxury experience quickly turned into a viral talking point, as the reviewer detailed concerns that went beyond just the price tag. From expectations around service to the overall value, the critique struck a chord with diners who expect more at that level. The connection to two of the Kansas City Chiefs’ biggest stars only amplified the attention, pulling the story into the sports world as well as the food scene. As reactions spread, opinions are sharply divided — some defending the concept of premium dining, others questioning whether the experience truly justifies the cost. Now, the spotlight is firmly on the restaurant. But one specific complaint in the review is what’s driving the most debate. And it may be the detail that matters most to future customers.

Kansas City-based 1587 Prime steakhouse has been blasted on social media.
Mahomes, 30, and Kelce, 36, opened the steakhouse in September 2025.
It has become a hit with the football stars’ friends and family, with their moms dining together at the venue.
Pop megastar Taylor Swift, 36, has also become a frequent visitor alongside fiancé Kelce.
The menu even includes a nod to Swift with a cocktail named after one of her songs.
But one individual on TikTok who goes by the name of Nicole Rose was left unimpressed with her visit to 1587 Prime.
“Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes‘ restaurant 1587 is not good and not worth it,” Nicole Rose said. “It was the worst fine dining experience I’ve ever had. Starting off, it took us 45 minutes to get our martinis.
“This was a $33 martini that arrived 45 minutes after we sat down. The fried chicken arrived before our drinks did. Honestly, it was not good.”
The TikToker also explained that she had ordered a $15 steak sauce that did not arrive with her meal.
Additionally, she has complained that her steak was incorrectly cooked.
The negative review comes as the restaurant has been sued over an alleged trademark infringement.
1587 Prime is named after the jersey numbers worn by Mahomes and Kelce, respectively.
But Massachusetts-based 1587 Sneakers has claimed that the steakhouse’s name infringes on their trademark.
The restaurant remains open for now after a legal bid to shut it down by the sneaker company.
Nicole Rose has noted some positives from her visit to 1587 Prime, including the broccolini and mashed potatoes.
But she remained unsatisfied with the service at the venue.
“The fastest thing our server did was collect the $650 bill,” Nicole Rose continued.
1587 Prime currently holds a 4.3 star rating from 773 reviews on Google.
