THE Minnesota Vikings could lose one of the anchors of their offensive line indefinitely.
Vikings center Ryan Kelly was placed on the injured reserve on Wednesday after suffering a concussion on Sunday.

According to ESPN, the placement on injured reserve could no only end Kelly’s season, but also his career.
“So much respect for Ryan as a player,” Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said.
“And the way he took the amount of time he did and was fighting to get back on the field and felt ready to go.
“We were holding back a little bit beyond that. And then, when he returned to the field, the impact he’s had on our offense over these last few games have been massive.”
Kelly has six documented concussions in his 10-year NFL career.
However, three of those have come this season.
He was concussed in Weeks 2 and 4, and spent a long time on injured reserve before returning in Week 12.
However, Kelly was concussed once again this past week.
He started wearing the safer Guardian Cap over his helmet when he returned from IR, but still suffered another concussion.
Kelly is a four-time Pro Bowler, but might not get another chance to earn those honors.
He likely won’t make a decision about his future in the league until the season ends.
For now, he is working on recovering from his current concussion.
