Travis Kelce in Line for $15M NFL Broadcasting Gig as Chiefs Star Seriously Considers Retirement
Travis Kelce won’t be unemployed if he chooses to retire.
The three-time Super Bowl champ may choose to play a 14th NFL season — or pivot to a career in broadcasting, where he could earn $15 million as a studio presence for a network, according to a Thursday report by The Athletic
It was noted that while the Chiefs tight end prefers to call games as an analyst in the booth that there also is a studio option.

Kelce — whose celebrity skyrocketed after going public with his relationship with fiancée Taylor Swift in the summer of 2023 — has been open on his “New Heights” podcast about a potential career in broadcasting whenever he calls it a career for good.
He’s no stranger to the spotlight.
Kelce hosted “Saturday Night Live” in 2023, weeks removed from the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2022 win over the Eagles. He signed with CAA for representation outside of football two months later.
In June 2024, Kelce made a surprise appearance on-stage during Swift’s Eras Tour show, where he dressed in a tuxedo and top hat during the Tortured Poets Department set at Wembley Stadium in London.
He starred in Ryan Murphy’s FX horror series “Grotesquerie” in Episode 3, in October 2024 as the character Ed “Eddie” Laclan, a flirty hospital orderly.
In 2024, Kelce became the host of “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?,” a 20-episode spin-off of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” that premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
He played what may have been his final game on Jan. 4, a road loss to the Raiders in Las Vegas, as the Chiefs missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014.

The 36-year-old All Pro’s production has dipped in recent years, and he’s been open about the wear and tear on his body.
During an installment of the “New Heights” podcast last month, Kelce explained that he spoke with the team about his playing future and revealed his offseason plans as he contemplates retirement.
“I’ve talked to a few people in the facility already, you know, having the exit meetings and they know where I stand at least right now,” he said at the time.
“There’s a lot of love for the game that’s still there and I don’t think I’ll ever lose that. I don’t know. It’s a tough thing to navigate, but at the same time, I think if my body can heal up and rest up and I can feel content that I can go out there and give it another run, I think I would do it in a heartbeat. So I think right now it’s just finding that answer … when it all settles down.”

Kelce, whose Chiefs finished the season at 6-11, shared that he would spend some time being “human” with his friends and family.
Kelce and Swift, are reportedly set to tie the knot sometime this summer after announcing their engagement last August.
