Who is Paige Shiver — the executive assistant at the center of the fired Michigan coach Sherrone Moore saga, and why her role has become a focal point in the fallout?
Knife-wielding, newly fired Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore allegedly broke into an apartment belonging to his recently promoted executive assistant, Paige Shiver — the daughter of longtime Chicago Bears scout Jeff Shiver, it has been revealed.
Moore, 39, was arrested Wednesday after Pittsfield Township police were called to an address at around 4 p.m. over an alleged assault, according to a law enforcement statement.
The address, belonging to a modern apartment complex where a one-bedroom rents for around $1,800 per month, is where Shiver lives, according to records obtained by The Post.

A female caller reported to a 911 dispatcher that Moore, the second-year head coach of the Wolverines, was armed with a knife and had been stalking her “for months,” according to police audio.
The audio also indicated Moore had threatened to harm himself during the exchange, after which he fled on foot before being arrested at a nearby church.
It was not immediately clear if Shiver, 32, was the purported victim.
Shiver — who frequently shared pictures of herself on the sidelines of Michigan games before making her social media private in the past 24 hours — received a 55% salary bump in the past fiscal year, with her annual pay jumping from $58,025 to $90,000, according to publicly available records.
The West Lafayette, Ind. native and Purdue University grad had been promoted to the role of Executive Assistant to the Head Coach in mid-November.
Meanwhile, resurfaced Big Ten Network video shows Shiver and Moore standing together on the sidelines of a Michigan women’s lacross game in April 2024.
Shiver saw a 55% salary hike in the past year.
Moore had even liked Instagram photos of Shiver dating back to 2021, screengrabs of the now-private account show.
The attractive blonde and Moore’s wife of 10 years, Kelli, also followed each other on the platofrm.
The incident at Shiver’s address came after Moore — who married Kelli in 2015 and has three daughters — was canned by Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel over an “inappropriate” relationship with a staff member who has not been publicly identified.
According to Maize and Blue Review, a subscription site focused on Michigan football, rumors about Moore’s extracurricular activities had been rampant around the program, to the point that Manuel personally questioned the head coach and the staffer about their relationship — and challenged anyone who confronted him about the whispers to provide proof so he could fire Moore “on the spot.”
Police were called to Shiver’s address in Pittsfield Township, Mich., on Wednesday afternoon.
Matters came to a head on Monday, according to the outlet, when Moore was advised not to work directly with the staffer and decided to fire her rather than transfer her to another job in the football program or the athletic department.
Thus scorned, the woman reportedly went to Manuel and provided detailed evidence of the affair.
Manuel announced Moore’s firing Wednesday evening “with cause,” which would pre-empt the school’s obligation to pay out the remainder of the coach’s contract, reported to be worth between $14 million and $16.5 million.
Shiver has since made her social media private.
Moore was fired as Michigan coach on Wednesday and booked into jail the same evening.
After Manuel told Moore of his dismissal, the ousted coach allegedly left the football facility and headed to Shiver’s apartment just south of Ann Arbor.
Moore is expected to appear in court Friday after spending the previous two nights in the Washtenaw County Jail. Charges have not yet been made public.

The Saline, Mich. Police Department, the Pittsfield Township Police Department, and the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
Attempts to contact Moore and Shiver were not immediately successful.
