The ex-girlfriend of Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice made serious allegations of domestic violence in a social media post on Wednesday.
Dacoda Jones claimed in the Instagram post that she “dealt with abuse for years” and that following the breakup between “me and this man,” she has been dealing with “nothing but hell.”
Jones did not name her alleged abuser.
Rashee Rice runs for yards after the catch during the Chiefs’ home loss to the Chargers at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
The post, which included 14 photos that alleged to show the physical abuse that Jones had suffered including cuts to her lip, bruises on her legs and arm, various marks and cuts on her face and damage to property.
The Chiefs acknowledged in a statement that the organization is aware of the allegations and that the team “is in communication with the National Football League,” declining to make any further comment.
The team also did not mention a name.
The Post has reached out to the NFL and to Rice’s agents, C.J. Laboy, Quincy Peyton and Alexis Ramos for comment. They did not immediately respond, and a request sent to an email address listed on Jones’ social media account went unanswered at the time of publishing.
“I’m so tired of keeping quiet l’m so tired of protecting his image. I’ve been through too much in a span of 8 years and I’ve had ENOUGH!” Jones wrote. “I’ve dealt with abuse for years, me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago and since then it’s been nothing but hell. He’s very controlling there’s been times he’s came to my new home broken my door, there’s been times when he would put his hands on me while I was pregnant even had the audacity to lock me outside all night in 10 degree weather because he got caught cheating.”
Jones, who shares two children with Rice, also alleged the individual destroyed her shoes and clothes, “leaving me with nothing,” as well as “multiple instances of cheating.”
Additionally, she claimed the person had not been an active parent in their kids’ lives and alleged that they were “trying to remove me and my kids from our home for now apparent reason.”
Rashee Rice speaks to the media following the Chiefs’ home win over the Colts on Nov. 23, 2025.
“I’ve protected his image too long and I’m done doing that. It’s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself,” she wrote.
Rice has not publicly commented, however a person close to the NFLer attempted to paint Jones as a disgruntled former girlfriend to WFAA, telling the outlet that Jones is upset that Rice has moved on and is dating someone else now.
The accusations could be another off-the-field issue that Rice will have to face after he had pled guilty to charges related to a high-speed crash in Dallas that injured several people.
Rice was sentenced to five years of deferred probation and he has to spend 30 days in Dallas County Jail, which must be completed within his five-year probation window.
The Chiefs receiver served a six-game suspension as a result of the incident as well and had to pay more than $1 million in a settlement to the crash victims.
