But there are fears that the American is facing a long spell out of action
JAKE PAUL says he wants Francis Ngannou to be his next big-name opponent in the ring – just days after his jaw was shattered by Anthony Joshua.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer, 28, suffered a sixth-round knockout loss to AJ in Miami last week.

Jake Paul is already planning his return to the ring

He wants to fight Francis Ngannou
And Paul’s jaw was broken in two places thanks to a devastating right hand from Joshua in the Netflix blockbuster.
But he is refusing to rest on his laurels and has already turned his attention towards another huge fight.
Paul, appearing on the Impaulsive podcast, revealed that he is looking to go toe-to-toe with Ngannou in the ring.
He said: “I told everyone that I would do better than Francis. Francis has kind of got no chin. Francis is low key soft.
“I’ll fight Francis. That’s a good idea, actually. I think maybe now he’ll take [the fight].”
But there are fears that Paul could be out of action for up to NINE MONTHS after there were complications with his broken jaw.
It has been suggested that two fractures run through the root of the American’s teeth.
And Paul will need to wait around three months after the injuries have healed before he can have dental implants fitted.
He may be forced to then have crowns fitted to his implants, which could take another six to seven months.
Ngannou, 39, is even heavier than British boxer Joshua at 250lbs, highlighting that Paul would face another uphill battle.
The Cameroonian has lost both of his boxing bouts, but he has a formidable MMA record after winning 18 of his 21 fights.
Joshua obliterated Ngannou last year, delivering a savage second round knockout.
He also lost to Tyson Fury in a bout named Battle of the Baddest after a split decision in October 2023.
