Jason Kelce had a stern warning for Jalen Carter after he spat on Dak Prescott during the Philadelphia Eagles’ season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
Carter was ejected from the game just six seconds into proceedings and before a single snap was played for his behaviour.

After days of intense debate about what Carter’s punishment should be, the NFL have announced that the linebacker will be handed a $57,222 fine.
He will not face any further suspension, with the league stating this ejection serves as his one-game ban.
Therefore, he will be available for the highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch between the Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.
What did Jason Kelce say about Jalen Carter?
Speaking on his podcast, Eagles legend Kelce criticised Carter’s “awful” action and warned him that this can impact his legacy.
“It’s just a really awful thing to be a part of as a fanbase, an organization and for that player,” Kelce began.”He has to be smarter than this. He has a chance to be one of the best defensive linemen in this era of football.
“Don’t let this dumb behavior jeopardize the career and person and legacy that you can build – especially in this city!
“It’s really unfortunate that happened. It’s really unfortunate that he’s going to have this image now. Now, moving forward, we need you to be better than that, Jalen.
“We have to have you better than that. And you need to be better than that for yourself.”
Slow motion footage captures Carter’s disgusting action in precise detail, but it later emerged that Prescott spat in his direction first.

Video showed Prescott spitting near the ground where the Eagles’ defensive huddle was while fullback Ben Van Sumeren was having his knee examined.
While it’s unknown, this may have promoted Carter’s spit.
Unfortunately for Carter, a referee was right next to him when he spat, and he was immediately thrown out of the game.
“I can’t emphasise how crazy this sequence of events was from the box I was in,” Kelce added.
“You see the opening kick off and then in the span of a minute, there’s a guy in the field, a cart coming out and Jalen Carter just walking off the field. I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on right now?’
“I remember turning to Richard Green – one of the owners of the Eagles – and I was like ‘What the heck happened?!’ He said, ‘He spit on him.’”

Is it too late to say sorry?
Carter quickly apologized after the game and promised such behaviour won’t happen again.
“It was a mistake that happened on my side. It won’t happen again,” Carter told reporters.
“I feel bad for just my teammates and fans out there. I’m doing it for them.
“I’m doing it for my family, also. But the fans, they showed the most love.”
