Wilson, 37, and his singer wife Ciara, 40, are making a $3 million donation to Mount Sinai Karvis Children’s Hospital in New York City.
This will help fund a new therapeutic play and creative arts space for patients at the hospital.
It has been a difficult season for the Giants quarterback.
Veteran Wilson was ousted as the Giants’ starting quarterback after just three losses to start the 2025 NFL season.
Rookie Jaxson Dart, 22, was promoted in his place.
The Giants have claimed just three wins since as they sit last in the NFC with one game remaining.
Wilson has remained an important influence at the franchise despite not playing.
He has also played a key role away from the gridiron with weekly visits to children’s hospitals.
But Wilson has told Good Morning America that his multi-million dollar donation comes after inspiration from his own childhood.
“I started going to children’s hospitals because my dad was unfortunately always in hospital. He had diabetes. And my mom was an ER nurse when I was growing up.,” he said.
“I thought ‘How can I make a difference?’ Every time I walk into a kid’s room, I’m praying for a miracle or something great to happen.
“And I’ve seen those miracles happen time and time again.”
His donation comes through the Why Not You Foundation that he set up with Ciara in 2014.
Wilson has explained that the foundation has become more important to him than football.
“It’s been the greatest thing I’ve been able to do in my career,” Wilson continued.
“If I can be a small glimpse of joy, it’s better than any touchdown.”
He is not the only NFL quarterback to be making sizeable charitable donations.
Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, 30, set up the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation in 2019.
Wilson has not featured for the Giants since their Week 10 loss to the Chicago Bears.
The Giants will end their season against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
