NFL star Keion White has updated fans from his hospital bed after being shot in San Francisco.
The 49ers defensive lineman was rushed to hospital following the incident at a nightclub early on Monday morning.

White, 27, was shot in the ankle and required emergency surgery.
“Keion White was a victim of a shooting and sustained a bullet wound to his ankle this morning in San Francisco,” the Niners said in a statement on Monday.
“He is currently undergoing surgery at a local hospital. We will provide further updates when appropriate.“
White has since broken his silence from his hospital bed.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with their prayers and concerns on my behalf,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I’ve undergone successful surgery.
‘”For those who know me, ya’ll know this won’t stop me from spreading peace and joy to the world.
“Full steam ahead. I’m in great spirits and ready to make the most of this off-season.”
White was smiling in a photo accompanying the statement.
The incident occurred at Dahlia’s on Mission Street, where White was attending a Super Bowl party, according to a police report viewed by The San Francisco Standard.
An altercation allegedly began when the entourage of rapper Lil Baby attempted to enter White’s private event on the lower level.
Officers responding to the 4am shooting discovered the 49ers pass rusher with a gunshot wound to his left leg.
Initial reports by The Athletic claimed that White was not involved in the verbal altercation between two groups.
No arrests have yet been made.
“A preliminary investigation revealed a verbal altercation occurred between two groups inside a business,” police said in a statement.
“The victim was injured when shots were fired by an unknown suspect.
“All information is preliminary at this time, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.”
White joined the 49ers midway through the 2025 season after a trade from the New England Patriots.
The former Georgia Tech star was a second round pick for the Pats in 2023.
Over the course of his NFL career, he’s racked up 100 total tackles. 7.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.
