It was initially believed to be a suicide with a deleted note found on her phone written days before her death.

The chilling case has seen multiple twists and turns with the cheerleader’s mom suspecting foul play was involved.

Aguilera’s mom slammed authorities for not investigating the death as a homicide.

However, the Travis County Medical Examiner has now officially ruled her death as a suicide.

According to a report, the cause of death was listed as blunt trauma by The Travis County Medical Examiner.

The report detailed a large number of fatal injuries that Aguilera suffered from her fall.

It also repeatedly mentioned prior threats of suicide.

The toxicology report found alcohol and cannabis in her system.

Aguilera, who was a sophomore at Texas A&M, had attended the annual rivalry football game between the Aggies and the University of Texas at Austin.

Investigators concluded that the suicide was triggered by an argument with her boyfriend after a day of drinking.

However, there have been several points of contention over the authorities’ investigations which sparked Aguilera’s mother, Stephanie Rodriguez, to file a wrongful death lawsuit.

The parents are seeking $1 million in damages from the Austin Blacks Rugby Club and the University of Texas Latin Economics and Business Association.

Brianna’s neighbour Dana Rodriguez told reporters at a press conference that said the Austin Police Department “to this day has not interviewed me or requested a statement.”

Rodriguez was in the apartment at the time of Brianna Aguilera’s death.

Witnesses also heard screams of ‘get off me’ moments before she fell to her death.

However, officials have now officially ruled that she took her own life.
